Templates and RAMS generators are usually compared on speed and on how site-specific the document reads. Neither keeps a record of the hazards that were considered and ruled out. Ramsgen does.
What a RAMS template provides
A template gives a fixed structure and carries the previous job's content forward. Unless the hazards are reassessed for the new site, that content is the last job's assessment.
